About
Izambard
Georges Izambard was appointed, in January 1870, professor of rhetoric at the college of Charleville where he was not long in noticing among his 25 pupils a certain Arthur Rimbaud. Impossible, for this very young teacher (twenty-one years old), who came to replace during the school year Monsieur Feuillâtre to ensure the rhetoric lesson, not to notice the young Arthur. Georges Izambard was a teacher before becoming a friend of Arthur Rimbaud.
