Vitalie Rimbaud
Vitalie Rimbaud, born Marie Catherine Vitalie Cuif, was the mother of Arthur Rimbaud. Known for her strict and authoritarian nature, she raised her children alone after her husband left. Her relationship with Arthur was often conflicted, marked by her rigid values and his rebellious spirit. Despite this, she played a significant role in his life, especially in caring for him during his illness until his death in 1891.
